I grew up with the knowledge that my grandmother passed away at 33 from breast cancer, my mother was diagnosed in both breasts when she was 44. So when I turned 61, I assumed I had been spared, after expecting it my whole life! But, no, that wasn’t the case. I was, as is everyone who is diagnosed, shocked and scared. My oldest daughter went through leukemia when she was 8, suffering, yet a trooper during it all! So cancer is a familiar foe, but still terrifying! I have 7 daughters, so I’m hoping to set a good example, as it’s considered genetic. I can’t begin to thank your organization enough! I’ve purchased a swimsuit, some much needed bras, forms, etc! And paid copays, as well! What a blessing you have been!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!
