SAVE THE DATE...

2011 5th Annual Minnesota Snow Run

January 7 & 8, 2011

Sugar Lake Lodge

Grand Rapids, MN

More information coming in the next couple of weeks!

4th Annual Minnesota Snow Run raises $47,000+ to help

men and women with breast cancer.

Two hundred plus people came together for an amazing weekend raising $47,000 and still counting to help both men and women diagnosed with breast cancer. The Minnesota Snow Run turned four years old and keeps growing with excitement of new riders and new friends made each year.

With a new host location this year, The Sugar Lake Lodge, participants were treated to amazing food and a warm atmosphere when they arrived to the Friday Welcome Party. Friday evening boosts fun with the vintage snow suit contest, the newly added bra decorating contest and the silent auction with unique items donated from supporters from Minnesota and all over the USA.

Despite the freezing temperatures of northern Minnesota riders were determined to ride in honor and in memory of those they love at the Saturday monring ride. The ride did have to be delayed about an hour until temperatures rose above unsafe freezing and unridable conditions.

And then mother nature gave us sun and the sun shined upon our riders for the rest of the day and the blue skies treated us to an epic day of riding with our past and new friends. Groups were divided into riding ability such as the Hooter Haulers, the sight seers and the "B" cup groups.

There were themed sleds that were decorated, some were permanent decorations and some the decorations "decorated" the trails through out the day, loosing peices and parts of things pink and even sparkly. But the peices and parts that were lost during the day were returned to the owners at the evening party as fun was made of what was lost and what was found!

Riders left on their adventures for the day and a lunch stop was provided in Hill City at the Blue Moon Grille. A wonderful lunch was provided with a great atmosphere.

A tradition at the Snow Run event is to have all the traile leaders join the evening fun by sharing the best moment of the day that happened in their riding group. Stories are shared and laughter is heard usually very loud and this year there were more than one"memory" of the day that kept the crowd laughing.

The 2010 Snow Run Top Fundraiser this year was a tie and shared by two amazing ladies who are a true inspiration to all, Virgina Dorn and Ginger Humphrey both raising $3,500 each. The top fundriaser gift was sponsored by Camoplast Company.

The ladies worked all year towards their goal doing various fundriasers and were true advocats of the Pink Ribbon Riders to constantly spread the word about the mission of the Pink Ribbon Riders.

On behalf of the entire organization of Pink Ribbon Riders and all of those that we have been able to help over the years, a huge thank you to our Top Fundraisers and to all the participants, volunteers and those that came together in 2009 and 2010 to make the 2010 Minnesota Snow Run a huge success.  Thank you for being a part of the Pink Ribbon Riders family, together we are making a difference one person at a time.

In 2011 the Minnesota Snow Run will celebrate the 5th year anniversary and we look forward to seeing you all

there. The date for the 5th Annual Minnesota Snow Run will be Friday and Saturday January 7th and 8th of 011. More details will follow coming in the summer of 2010.
